Me and Ty

We went to In 'N' Out for lunch today. We don't even go there all that much, but Allary had coupons for free cheeseburgers that she earned from the library. I am so so glad that we decided to go there, of all places, today, of all days, because look who we saw!!!

It's Ty Burrell!

It was Jason who saw him first. He was looking over my shoulder and saw him standing in line to order and said, "Hey, that guy looks like that guy from Modern Family." I turned around and just saw mostly the back of his head and said, "yeah, he really does." Then after a few minutes, Jason said, "Wow, he really looks like him, even from straight on." So I turned around again and said, "I think that's really him! What if that really is him?" After another minute or two of discussing whether or not it really was him, he walked right by our table and I heard him talking. He has a very distinct voice and that's when I knew for sure. So, I started scrambling for something he could sign, and finally just grabbed one of the free sticker sheets they give out to kids at the restaurant. I just walked over to him and tapped his arm and said, "Can I please have your autograph?" He immediately smiled and responded yes. He set his tray of food down, signed my paper and even let Jason take a picture of us. He was really nice. I was worried that doing this might attract more attention from other patrons, but no one seemed to notice. I was the only one to approach him. I couldn't believe such a big celebrity was right there in this restaurant, in this city, of all places. Awesome. So so AWESOME.
