Good Friends

While we were at Grandma and Grandpa's house last week, I got to spend some time with my two sweet best friends, Liz and Katie. We have been friends forever and I love them to death. It was so good to see them and their sweet kids. Allary had a blast with Noah and Emeline.

Here are some pictures of the kids having loads of fun in the wading pool.

Awesome Picture

This has to be my favorite photo of the week. I think it's the combination of the boots with the shorts, the football, and the expression. Just makes me laugh.

Grandma's House

Allary and I spent the week last week at my Mom and Dad's house. For me, it was so nice to just relax and shop and have some (adult) company during the day. I love hanging out with my Mom and I love watching as Allary's love and adoration grows for her grandparents. She is a lucky girl. Thanks Mom and Dad for having us and for spoiling us both. :)

Allary went out one evening to help Grandma water the roses and pick some tomatoes. I grabbed my camera because there is just something adorable about a little girl in a tutu in a rose garden.

I have lots of pictures so I will post more later.

Mother Daughter Retreat

My mom came up this way for a "weekend of fun" with just the gals. We went shopping, ate out, went to a movie (if you haven't seen "No Reservations" you should, it was really good), just talked and laughed and had a whole night and a day off from kids and housework and all that. It was so much fun. Above is a photo we had professionally taken.

Binkies!!!

"Binky? Binky? Binky? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease!?!?!"
This is what I hear about 100 times a day. She is absolutely addicted. I keep thinking I need to start weaning her off of them, but I'm just not motivated. I am addicted as well, because it sure is an easy and quick fix for any tantrum or melt-down.

New Dress

Doesn't she look so grown-up?

Fancy hair-do.

Pool party with cousins

Saturday evening, we went swimming with my brother and his family at their community pool. Allary loves the water and we all had a great time.

"Party in the kiddie pool!"

This is Allary nearly drowning herself as she tries to splash her Daddy. She kept slipping and falling under the water in the kiddie pool. Jason would hurry and scoop her up out of the water and she would cough and gasp for air, then just continue right on playing, splashing, jumping, and laughing.

Allary and her cousin Megan trying to get warm. They are about 3 months apart in age.
Look at those cute (frozen) toes!

Allary's Hair

Look at how long Allary's hair is getting! Her hair didn't even really start growing until she was about 9 months old. You can really only see how long it is when it's wet because as soon as it starts to dry, it springs up into little curls.

In an effort to show off how long it is getting, I tried blow-drying her hair straight with a round-brush this morning. As you can tell from the photo, still curly. It is getting long in the back, but not on the top. So, to cut or not to cut??? I do want her to have long hair, but at the moment, it is only long in the back, and not on top, so it is starting to look a little bit like a mullet, and we can't have that. Opinions anyone?

College Roomy

I was able to see one of my very best friends on Monday! I was so excited that she was in town and was able to come over and see me. We went to lunch and just visited and let the kids play. It was so much fun! Aspen and I were college roommates for 4 years and I have so many fun and crazy memories with her.

Allary's face looks a little funny in this picture, but I thought it was cute of the two of them hiding out under the table. Camden and Allary are only about a week apart in age.

99% of Allary's friends right now are little boys. She wanted to play, give him hugs, and sit right next to him. Below: Camden's reaction. :)

(she does look a little hurt doesn't she?)

This is the two of them when they were only a few weeks old.

Thanks for stopping by, Aspen, it was so great to see you and your two beautiful kids!
