Easter Weekend

Friday night, we dyed and decorated our Easter eggs.
(I apologize again for the poor quality of these photos from my iTouch. Who knows when we will be able to get a new camera.)

Saturday morning, we found that the Easter Bunny had come!

I know this next photo is ridiculously blurry, but I love her excitement.

The Easter Bunny left behind some evidence, footprints and some half-eaten carrots he'd scavenged from our fridge.

On Sunday, we had a nice dinner just the three of us and then we frosted sugar cookies.

I am so grateful that we got to have a weekend together as a family. I am so very grateful for the Savior and the real reason we celebrate Easter. We were discussing the Atonement and the Resurrection with Allary at the dinner table and we asked Allary to tell us what she knew about what happened. I loved hearing it in her own words. She talked about how Jesus died so we could live with Him again someday. "Then," she said, "they took Him and put Him in a tube." Jason and I looked at each other and smiled as she continued. "And then, Mary came to put some pepper and stuff on Him, but He was gone." "Pepper?" I asked. "Yeah," she said. "You know, the spices." We explained about the tomb and how Mary came and we had a great discussion, but I just had to share Allary's rendition because it makes me smile.
