My Little Ballerina

Okay, so here's the story of the ballet classes. I have been searching for a ballet class for 3 year olds for some time now and until just last week, was not able to find one that was anywhere near where we live. I finally found one online that was just down the road and we went by there over the weekend to check it out. The guy working there gave me quite the sales pitch and I was feeling excited to get her signed up... until I saw the tuition... $95!!! What?! Oh, and that does not include the registration fee, the performance fee, or the performance costumes. Hmmm, I don't think so. So my search continued until I found a recreation center nearby that does offer a dance class for 3-6 year olds. We stopped by yesterday and the girl at the desk told me that classes started last week, but that I could still register (for a much more reasonable $30) and start her the very next day (today). Yea!



I've really been pumping Allary up for this and pushing her to do well with the potty training and getting her all excited. We drove all over yesterday trying to find her some beautiful ballerina clothes, and she wore them all last night and wanted to sleep in them. So this afternoon, she was pretty much bouncing off the walls with excitement when I told her she could put on her ballet clothes and get ready to go.


We get there, get her officially registered at the desk, only to then find a sign on the studio door that class has been canceled today because the floors are being refinished. What??? Oh man, try to explain that to this little face.


I felt so bad that I told her she could have whatever she wanted. (If she would have asked for a pony I may have just had to sell the car) She said she wanted ice cream, so we went to Dairy Queen.


Whew! Amazing what a little ice cream can do.


The lady at the desk felt so bad about her mistake in not informing us of the cancellation yesterday, that she charged me only half the monthly price and said that Allary could start next week.
