New Look

Aha! I finally figured out how to design my own background! Well, the designing wasn't actually the problem, it was the HTML. I took a few shortcuts and used templates and HTML codes and just changed out the parts that I needed changed. It took me 4 1/2 hours, but I finally got it. Although, I still can't figure out how to get the background image to stretch all the way across to the Right end of the page. No matter how I resize it, it stops right at that edge. Any ideas anyone?
So, what do you think of our new look?

Well, I've been informed it has some kinks. I need to figure out how to get the background image to stretch to any window size. Otherwise, it can look funny depending on which browser you open it in. Ugh. If anyone can offer help, I'd appreciate it.

It looks fine on my screen, Brooke! The image goes all the way to the end, but maybe that wasn't what you were asking. Anyway, I think the blog looks amazing. It is so pretty! I love the color scheme and your graphic work and everything. You did a great job! Love ya. Katie

I did a little tweaking to the design and then made it repeat itself over and over so that no matter what size browser window you open it in, it should stretch to fit. Only, you can see the page breaks. It's the best I can do.

HOW CUTE! I love it! So, care to share your secret? Where did you get the html for your background? It looks so good!

Okay, here's my secret. I used the Minima template out of the generic blogger templates. Then, after looking at the html from other templates, like from Pyzam.com, I figured out how and where to put in the html for a background image. I made the background image in Photoshop using pre-made patterns from shabbyprincess.com. Then, I uploaded that file to photobucket and copied the direct link into the html. So see? I'm really not that amazing.

Love the new design. It's gorgeous and looks very "autumnal."
