First Day of First Grade!

First day of First Grade for Allary! As usual, I was way more nervous about it than she was. I worried how she would transition from half-day to full-day, but she eased right into it like it was no big deal. She also started walking to and from school with a group of kids on our street. Again, it's hard for me to let go and let her be independent and see her growing up so fast! It's also so wonderful to see her grow and mature and watch her become her own wonderful self!

Taygen - 19 weeks

Jason was out of town for work a lot in July and August, so the girls and I made a trip down to spend some time in Farmington with my parents.

Allary took summer dance classes and loved them, as always.

More summer fun.

Taygen - 20 weeks old

Having rice cereal for the first time.

Also in August, one of my dearest friends I grew up with, Liz, came to visit from England with her family. We got to spend some time with her and her kids while they were here.

Jarom, Macks (Melinda's little boy), Emeline, and Allary. (I can't remember why Allary had her swimsuit on. Her outfit looks a little crazier than normal. Ha.)

Taygen - 16 weeks

17 weeks

Weight: 13 lbs. 1 oz. (45th percentile)

Head Circ: 42 cm (75th percentile)

July 24th - We had a birthday party for Megan at her house,

plus a fireworks extravaganza!

Family Reunion

Also in July 2012, Travis and Dena's family came to visit and so my side of the family had a fun reunion.
The kids had a blast at the aquatic center...

We played lots of games at my Mom and Dad's house...

...like "Hurry Up or Get Whacked!"

 This one, you had to see how many cotton balls you could pick up and put in a bowl using just your nose dipped in vaseline.

This one, you had to try and eat an oreo placed on your forehead without using your hands.

We also had a rubber-band target shooting contest.

We went to the Museum of Natural History.
