4th of July

So these posts are going to be a little out of order. Here are our photos from the 4th of July. Jason had to be out of town for work, and so Allary and I drove down to my parent's house to spend the holiday weekend with them.

At the city's fireworks display. And yes, she wore a Cinderella dress.

More Family Reunion Photos

We drove over to see my family's old cabin. We had so many fun times there growing up and so many of our favorite family stories come from those trips to the cabin. We hiked the little trail down to "our creek" and played and let the kids throw rocks in the water.

My mom.

My dad.

Here we all are eating dinner back at the hotel. Gotta love the matching bright red shirts. It wasn't hard at all to find anyone in our group around the resort. :)

Me and my sweet nephew Cody.

Allary and Paige coloring in the hotel's game room.

At the mountain resort, they had this "bungee tramp." It was a lot scarier and higher than it looks. This is a (slightly embarrassing) video of me. :)

Even Allary gave it a try. She was a little nervous and didn't want to go too high though.

The whole group.

Family Reunion

I really need to catch up and post some photos from our summer.
I'll start with the photos from my family reunion back in July. We went to my parents' house for a few days along with my two brothers and their families, then from there headed to the mountains to a nice mountain resort.
Here we all are doing sparklers in my parent's backyard...

My mom had all the grandkids paint rocks to put out in her rose garden. This is Allary working on her masterpiece.

We also went to a really fun outdoor chuckwagon dinner. This is the little train ride before the dinner.

Allary and I at the top of the Alpine Slide and picking some wildflowers while we wait.

The bouncy castle, where the little girls seemed to spend the entire afternoon.

Cooling off at the pool.

Our New House!

We began house-hunting back in January. We had the coolest real estate agent ever, Tammy, my cousin. Seriously she was great and so patient with us. This house was the first house we saw and LOVED and we put an offer on it right away. We thought at the time that there was no way we had any chance of getting it for our offered price, so we continued hunting. We put an offer on another house and got beat out by someone else. We then put an offer on another house which was for some weird reason then taken off the market. House number two's offer fell through and so we resubmitted ours and it was accepted. We proceeded forward with that one and kept running into obstacle after obstacle. Days before we were supposed to close, Jason and I were both feeling like maybe it just wasn't meant to be. Then we heard that the first house had become available again and resubmitted that offer, which was accepted! We couldn't believe it. Everything just fell into place after that and here we are. I am very much in love with this house.

It is taking me forever to decorate and there's not much up on the walls yet. The problem is, I would like to repaint most of the house and the colors that I would like to decorate with don't really go well with the color they are now. Oh well, all in due time. For now, here are some photos.
